Any one getting the interplay package?

Post by RCBH928 »

GOG has like 32 games of interplay for only $32 or so. I was wondering if any one is getting it. I was thinking of buying it, because I thought I might like the original Fallout and try out Descent this game I have seen since I was a kid BUT..

lately I have been into this media spiral, a lot of videos, music, games and books are easily accessible for very very low amount of price. Basically there is more games than to consume, and my backlog is like at least 30 games some are long like FF7 and some are endless like SIm City 2000.

I thought if the time comes when I want to play original Fallout I am sure its price wont be too far out of reach.

Wonder if any one is getting it and why?

many of us have DREAMS of backlogs that are only 30 games long!

I considered that Interplay pack - it is certainly a good deal but I have the majority of those titles on disc so I decided against it. If you don't have any or just have a few, you should totally grab it!

Considering it, but there are only a few of the titles I'm particularly interested in that I don't already have.

There were only a couple titles I didn't have that I'd consider picking up (Freespace 1, Descent 3), but I didn't pick them up back when they were on the big holiday sale, so I didn't see the value in getting a bunch of games I'm not interested in to get a couple that I might be interested in.

That's a pretty decent deal, Interplay was a quality company. I already own physical copies of most of these games though :\

Also, my backlog is something to the tune of 200 games long

I beat the odds. I already owned alot of the highest tier on disc or on GoG. So I decided to beat the odds and on the next sale buy Shogo.

I have none of the games

you guys really think you will complete your 200 games catalogue? If each game takes 10 hours to beat(very short time) then it will take you 83 days of non sleep or about 2 years of 3 hrs faily dosage.

I am sorry I made it sound like work  but its really long

Yeah I think I will. Right now I am entering a time where I wont be able to buy many new games, so I will be playing the ones I bought over the last while. Also, I might be able to work from home in the near future. Once the ding of the blackberry goes off, the game gets paused. But once that email is taken care of...

So all of those games I have on GoG should be completed in the not too far future. My main hurdle is that my fiance loves playing point and clicks with me so they will take a long time to finish.

You assume we intend to actively blow through our backlogs quickly.

I play whatever I feel like playing, whether I've already played/beaten it or not.
