Dreamcast to PS2 Controller Adapter?

I just picked up a cheap official Dreamcast Arcade stick from a pawn shop for $20, very clean and ready to use. I have google searched "Dreamcast to PS2 Controller Adapter" and all I get are responses the other way around using PS2 on Dreamcast, but I want it the other way. Is there an adapter in existence?

it's odd. There's basically adapters to use PSX controllers on every other console. But not really any adapters to use other controllers on PS2.

Since PS1 and PS2 controllers are pretty much all interchangeable, that's the biggest pool to provide adapters for.

You can hack an original PS1 controller and solder wires to it. I heard the official stick is common ground, so a dual mod is possible.

THIS. A PS1-PS2 Arcade stick is the best investment.

Verify that the PS1 controller works with various PS2 games before gutting. I wouldn't chance that duel mod since each controller PCB has a chip on board that may cause interference issues between the different consoles. There is also the risk of different voltages creeping back and frying the other chip. Best to isolate the Arcade buttons from its DC controller chip and cable. In a case of irony, mod the Dreamcast stick to the Playstation controller PCB, then get a PS1 to DC adapter so it will work again on the Dreamcast. The mod is easiest by soldering right onto the PS1 PCB button pads.
