At Target and a monstrosity leaps out at me!

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

At Target and a monstrosity leaps out at me!

Post by PharmaceuticalCowboy »

Well as the title says I was walking through Target yesterday and at the end of one of the toy isles (and right next to electronics) and I behold Tiger's new venture into gaming http://www.hasbro.com/tiger/netjet/defa ... t_id=19091 looks pretty generic to me, and kinda like a waste of money. I vouch for keeping all my old game systems to train kids on some day, those little whipper snappers will need a good schooling in 2D platforming and shmups! Anyway though, I thought it was interesting looking enough to at least tell you guys to take a look at the display while in your favorite Big Box store, games inside a controller seem like what's in for the cheap crowd these days but this thing looks like it may download the games on your PC, way weird for a $20 device IMHO. Stick to the shockwave games please...

the hardware looks cheap, the games are probably crappy too...

however, I like the idea. the controller is the system and you can swap out games.

The kart racing game is actually well received and the marble maze fans say the marblexp game is worth the $30 or so you have to shell out for the device. I almost bought one just to see what is inside, but thought better of it. Now if you needed a decent controller for the pc, and did not want to use an adapter or 360 controller, it may be worth it. I would like to see its durability however.

I see a decent amount of hackability here - shame I really dont care that much about it.

When reading the topic title, I thought you meant one of those behemoth mothers that tries to take what you were after in the games section~
