how is the Wii online community?

Post by RCBH928 »

I modded my Wii a very long time ago, so I cant log on online I am afraid it will ruin my setup.

I just want to know how is the online community of the Wii doing? Do you still log on for multiplayer? Do you find any one online to play with?

Do you log on the nintendo channel?

Do they still bing out Virtual Console and WiiWare games? I cant tell you when was the last time I heard of a good WiiWare game released.

As long as your homebrew channel is up to date you don't have to worry about logging in with your Wii.

I just took mine online for the first time last week. The only games I have that will go online are Brawl and Mario Kart. I tried to play some Brawl but no one ever joined any of my matches :( Then I tried Mario Kart and there were a fair amount of people online just in North America! So I guess it's kinda hit or miss...

Brawl had terrible netcode, so the online matches dried up pretty fast back when it was released.

god damn i hate brawl. Not becuase its a bad game but tuis must have been the most hypes game ever im human history, there were almost daily updates on it and in the end people said the GC version was better.

I also found that after few matches it gets boring with friends, not sure what is wrong. Maybe a lot of repetition . I own an original copy. when you look back at ot, i dont see many people saying I want a Wii so I can play brawl.

Back to main topic, looks like the online community is pretty much dead on the wii exct for few games.

No mentions of wiiware or virtual console. No mention of the Nintendo channel which I heard had exclusive videos.

I am too scared to log online. I dont want to play the Wii. I want to check the nintendo channel out

You can check the number of hours you have spent on each game you've played though.

EDIT:

That was just shameful. Never have I played anything else so laggy. It was halfway decent-ish with friends who lived close by at least.
