Best soccer game for Super NES or PlayStation?

I have never played a soccer game outside of stuff like Super Mario Strikers. My daughter is currently playing soccer and it got me in the mood to play. The problem is that I have too many choices.
The only other sports game I have is Madden 2000, and it is fine. So I defaulted to looking at FIFA 2000. I see from reviews that it may not be the best choice. Even FIFA 98 is reviewed better.
Keeping in mind that I only have the Super NES and PSone consoles, and I am not a die-hard soccer fan in need of up-to-date rosters or accurate statistics, which soccer game should I get? I want it to be reasonably balanced in difficulty and a fairly accurate simulation. I don't want an arcade-style game.

Fifa if there are any on Playstation should be great,Mega Man Soccer on Snes for the fantasy route..Im not a huge soccer fan by any means but my favs from personal experience are Disneys Sports Soccer (Gamecube) and Fifa (perfect game) on the 3DO is probably more than I'll ever need for the rest of my life.

Look out for a Fifa game if your daughter wants to play something more realistic, hope this helps.

I found FIFA 98 at a local shop. It was the only soccer game they had for the PSone. I'm heading back there in a few minutes to pick it up as well as look at some other sports games.

I've given FIFA 98 a try and I enjoy it. The only thing I feel is missing is analog stick support. I notice that FIFA 99 uses analog and appears to be slightly improved in many ways over 98. Has anyone extensively played both of these and prefer 99?
I see many people claim 98 is better, but I believe this may strictly be due to the "world cup" feature. From what I understand, 99 allows you to qualify for the world cup, but you don't actually play in it. I am not a hardcore soccer fan, so I suspect that the analog controls would more than make up for this loss.
The only other aspect that my affect me is the commentary. The commentary seems very well done in 98. I see that one of the commentators was removed or replaced in 99.
Another game that caught my eye was ISS Pro Evolution. This actually seems like it could be the perfect game for me, but it appears to be extremely difficult to acquire.

It's a regional difference. For whatever reason ISS Deluxe (SNES), ISS Pro Evolution (Playstation) and ISS 2000 (N64) are much less common NTSC than PAL.

I've stuck with Road to World Cup 98 so far and it's served me well. I'd love to have analog control, but otherwise it's serviceable.

International Superstar Soccer for the Super Nintendo.
Amazing game, hasn't aged at all.

Compared to Winning Eleven/ISS, the FIFA/World Cup games suck, really.
I remember playing World Cup '98 on the PS1 and the only thing I had to do was to go straight to the goal and that would be it.

On Amateur difficulty, yes, you don't even need to pass. On Pro difficulty, it is not so easy. I tried World Class difficulty and, while it was clearly more difficult and possibly even more realistic, it wasn't as fun.
