I was reading an article about Shaq-fu and apparently someone dedicated a site to "liberating" copies from the wild and disposing of them to spare future generations from it.
http://www.shaqfu.com/ourmission.phpIn response, a website sprang up to preserve shaq-fu's place in gaming history

If we cannot learn from the mistakes of the past, we will be doomed to repeat them. In other words, I vote for a Shaq Fu sequel.

I actually used to play the shit out of both Shaq Fu and Ballz 3D on Sega Channel back in the day. In all honesty I'd buy a Shaq Fu sequel. I find the ridiculous sports and rap games that go into other genres hilarious, like that 50 Cent shooter and the rap fighting games.

I bet that's the same guy playing both sides, win/win for him.

the Def Jam Vendetta games?
Don't those use AKI's wrestling engine from their awesome WCW/WWF n64 games?

I don't know if amassing a huge collection of shaq-fu carts would be a win

Because future kids will all surely have working Genesis/Mega Drive consoles and all...
I'm against destroying old games that aren't manufactured anymore. Some people (like me) actually like collecting really bad games, some times they are so bad/cheesy/weird that they become good in their own way.
Can working Gen/MD cartridges be emptied? That way you could use them for making homebrew games.

Ever heard of donor carts? I'm not sure exactly how they work, I never really looked into them much, but I think they work something like that.
On topic, I'm on the saving side of the fence as I'm sure most of the forum goers are. I mean what kind of sick freak gets pleasure from destroying our history? And the game is not even THAT bad. I can think of a ton more games that a worse. Every time I come across a copy in a retro shop or flea market vendor, I try to buy it if I can. I don't send the copies in to the save Shaq Fu website, mostly because I have a conspiracy theory about them getting most of the surviving carts in their possession and selling them on eBay for stupid high prices. Though it is pretty cool that they have an AVGN signed cart, but then again he destroy's carts on his show all the time...

I see no benefit in destroying those games and it reeks too much of book burning to be confortable with it.

Yeah, he could get most of the surviving copies then "help" have the rest destroyed and control the future market.
