NFL Blitz SPECIAL EDITION SEALED Price opinions wanted (N64)

Hey guys/gals. Been awhile since I have been on here but I have a questions only this community can answer. I picked up a SEALED NFL Blitz Special Edition (the one that was a rental exclusive, and not sold to the public). It is factory sealed and in amazing shape. What I am wondering is, does anyone think it would be worth getting it VGA graded for the purpose of selling it? Can't find any data on one being VGA graded and sold. Opinions on this? I can post picks when I get home if anyone wants to see.

When I was looking for this previously, I believe the price for a sealed copy was only in the $60 range (possibly less).

It's a cool piece to have but I don't have a grasp on the cost of VGA'ing it - or much of a prediction on how much it will be worth years from now.

All recent Ebay sales have it at $130 with no VGA.

Very nice, I must have been recollecting wrong. Are they completed sales or just sitting as BIN?

Completed auctions. I used Terapeak to look at last 90 days of sales. Only 2 BTW.

Very cool - you know what, in looking at my notes, the $60 one that I was tracking must have been complete but not sealed.

Where did you get it?

Found it in Fayetville NC. A computer repair shop that was a former video rental store. Guy closed down rental store and started fixing computers. He still had a bunch of stuff in his store that no one had bought. I got A LOT of good stuff for $40. All complete games or factory sealed games for N64, except 1 pigskin footbrawl CIB and one Gargoyles Quest 2 for NES cart only. Both Banjo's CIB, sealed Blues Brothers 2000. pokemon Stadium 1 and 2 complete. Clayfighter CIB. About 20 items all told.

Hey! That's my territory!

Or...at least, it was when I was travelling there for work once every few weeks. I haven't been back in over a year, but I always picked up some games everytime I visited. Glad to hear you can still pick up some good stuff out that way, especially considering I thought that I had picked the town dry...

Can you post a pic?

The game cart by itself is not rare, but the Special Edition box is. As a rental, the box and instructions are always tossed out. I wouldn't worry about paying for a grading stamp, online searches can verify a current price.
