Revenge of Roger R.

I’ve come across this game and I liked it a lot! That’s why I decided to share my experience with you, guys. A very good shmup, maybe quite unusual called Revenge of Roger R.
I’ve always been fond of old sailing ships, their classic beauty and romantic background of storms, pirates, treasures, etc. When I saw in-game graphics, it was a good surprise for me – graphics are just great. There are a lot of different vessels (I specially run the game for counting number of ships – and find out that here are 45 different ones!!!). To be honest, I think it is too much for the shmup, but anyway, thanks to developers. Most of ships are historical – I identified Chinese Fu-Zhou warships and Shanghai Junks (and there are many other Junks, which are unknown to me), Kobuksons, carracks, frigates, galleons, yachts, late 74-gunners, late heavy frigates, like USA “Constitution” legend, fuste, galleys, galeasses, some big galleons, like mythical “Great Harry”, and even famous Zheng He Treasure Ship is here). Game speed is pretty good, suitable for sailing ship, control is easy and intuitive. Gameplay is quite simple, some elements added in later levels, like whirlpools, some “Ghost” ships, like Flying Dutchman, ships, emerging from the deep, forts and coasts, snowflakes, that slows you down, mortars, etc. Bosses are funny and different, there is even a big submarine (reminds me of Cpn.Nemo’s Nautilus), hard difficulty is really hard, and the game runs very smoothly for me.
If someone played it, I would like you to share your experience.
