Saw the fighter thread and it made me curious as to what some of your favorite shoot em ups are.
I myself have to give this some thought, but I look forward to hearing what you guys enjoy the most

Very tough question. Five of my favorites that just never get old and I always find myself going back to, in no particular order.

Thunder Force III
Musha Aleste
Batsugun
Lords of Thunder

If you consider it a shmup, feel free to list it! (I thought Exes would be the one to bring up the genre line with Cannon Spike

I'm surprised Guwange made it over Ra.De for you Brad! They are both so good!
Ill have my list done soon... I had a harder time doing this than I thought I would.

I wish alot of Shmups wouldnt of had the names changed when they were being translated to NA, it gets so confusing when every region has a completely different name for the same game, its things like this in the gaming world that are messed up!
My picks are pretty mainstream popular and nothing niche, not that i dont enjoy the niche or hidden gems.

3. U.N. Squadron (SNES version)
4. Aero Fighters
