I needed to replace the belt on my Marty's disk drive, so I thought that while I had it opened, I'd replace the internal battery as well (it keeps insisting that it's 1987).
Upon disassembling the unit, I found that the battery is soldered in there at the top. Anyone have any ideas? Or is it that one a Marty's battery has died, that's it for the internal clock?
Any help would be... well... helpful.

Re: Replacing FM TOWNS MARTY battery
that looks like a CR2032 with soldertabs. you should be able to desolder it from the board and install a CR2032 holder to make battery replacement easier int he future (and cheaper too, since you wont have to buy tabbed ones)
