I attended the Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddess last night at the Davie's Symphony Hall in San Francisco. I got a few pictures that I will post at a later date but my overall impression was great. The game footage shown on screen with the music brought back a lot of memories and great nostalgia of the series over the years.
If I had to rate it along some of the other concerts I would put Distant Worlds: Final Fantasy and Video Games Live! higher because of the special effects and the overall atmosphere but I still really enjoyed the symphony for the Legend of Zelda nonetheless and if you are a fan of Zelda or music in gaming it's worth checking out!!
The merchandise they had for sale was a t-shirt and poster for $35 which I decided to pick up but I was somewhat disappointed on the lack of a music CD for sale.

Re: Legend of Zelda Symphony of the Goddess- San Francisco,
All the good things happened in SF after I left.
Re: Legend of Zelda Symphony of the Goddess- San Francisco,
Yeah, I saw the Seattle show on Monday. I thought it was cool how they wove everything together into full movements, rather than just "here's song A, here's song B". I also loved how LttP got the biggest reception from the crowd.

Sounds similar to Video Games Live. I went to VGL back in '06 and it was awesome and I got to meet Tommy Tallarico. I never heard of this symphony before.Dakinggamer87 wrote:I also enjoyed the transition between music it blended together very well.

Re: Legend of Zelda Symphony of the Goddess- San Francisco,
I went to VGL a few years ago in Oakland and also got to meet Tommy Tallarico and several game developers which was pretty awesome!! This symphony just started recently in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the series.arnold_the_bartender wrote:Sounds similar to Video Games Live.
