Capcom's secret title revealed?

Post by Daigr »

Well according to gamespot Capcom's new title has revealed itself; ahead of the countdown too. No it's not Street Fighter 4 but another old franchise.

Bionic Commando

To be released for Xbox360, PS3 and PC.

I hope this isn't the title capcom is going to announce once their countdown has stopped on wednesday.
Perhaps another title announcement as well.

Well I guess the question is do we get to kill Hitler in this one like in Top Secret? Oh and are we still Super Joe (the guy from Commando)?

So much for the big countdown....

Could be worse, I guess.
I probably won't play it though (at least for a number of years)

This is a first, but I think I am more excited about the soundtrack then the actual game. I mean the Bionic Commando stage 1 theme is part of my childhood, so a new version of it could rock. Granted The Peter Gunn theme is aswell and they screwed up that remake pretty bad, stupid Spyhunter. (and I realize they are different companies)

I only played the game for maybe 10 minutes in my life, just a few years ago, But I do love the score, mostly due to NESkimos giving it so much love.

I was honestly hoping for SF4.

These countdowns are always just letdowns for me.

Still, this is a pretty big moment for longtime NES fans. BC is one of only a few games that deserved but never got sequels. Kid Icarus and Rygar being two others -- of course, Rygar got a sequel and I guess it wasn't that good.

The idea is great, but I think I would have preferred it on the DS, like the way Konami is doing Contra 4. THAT game is going to be awesome. They're dumping Contra and Super C in with it as easter eggs and a chiptunes DJ is doing the soundtrack.
