Okay, I was recently going though lists of sega genesis games to try and find the name of this game I used to rent a long time ago, because its just been eating at me lately and I want to play it again. Allow me to describe it:
Its sort of a space simulation/RPG that I believe was based in our solor system (could be wrong on that one). Anyway, I remember the first mission was to board a ship and eliminate the enemies on it (maybe it was bombs too, I forget)and it used a sort of turn based x-comish system in these ground areas. I specifically remember the ending to the first mission where you have to decide how to deal with an active gernade and one of the options was to have one of your characters jump on it (lol). Anyway, once you gain control of the ship, you can use it to get to other missions on other planets.
Anyone have ANY idea what this game was?
Name that sega genesis game!

Nope, not phantasy star. I can already tell that this game was one of the real obscure ones. Let me see if I can clarify the game a little:
From what I remember, there was ground mode which was an x-comish/baulder's gate kind of gameplay where occasionally a list of options would come up when you came to an object and you had to pick one... some of them had game ending consequences and some just mildly helped or hindered your cause.
And then there was the mission select type of mode where you got to select what planet to explore or what you wanted to do with your ship... but you only got access to this ship after the first mission where you had to go in and neutralize the enemy.
Again I already know this was an obscure game and I don't remember what it is because I often rented all the games I could just to try them out on the ol Genesis.

My best guess. I don't remember the bombs etc. in this game, but the exploring planets part sounds pretty similar.

it doesn't sound like Dune to me... personally it reminds me of 'star control'.Mozgus wrote:http://www.sega-16.com/Review-%20Dune%2 ... rrakis.php
