Handshakes/Goofy S#!T Your Friends Do

Post by Luke »

This may be as dumb as starting a thread about cutting toast, but do any of you guys/gals still greet friends with specific handshakes? If not, ya'll need to start.

I'll admit it can be super lame, but at the same time, it's timeless. I still rock the Jazz/w.Smithhandshake with a good friend, but have developed more..."intricate" hand shakes as the years have gone by.

Another practice a few of my tight knit friends group does is laugh, very loudly, when someone bombs a joke. It's a forced laughter that leads to actual laughter and gets funnier around crowds. Annoying? Maybe, but at a very small level. Way less annoying than the people shouting "HELLO!" as if they were on Seinfeld.

Any greetings, handshakes, routines, etc. that you go through while meeting old friends?

To add, whenever I see my friend Russ I always put my index finger to my wiener, and every time he looks, which means I get to punch him every time I see him.

I will sometimes do the creepy faced laugh that Agent smith did in one of the Matrix Movies and change my voice too. One of my friend's dad will say "Boy, boy, boy..." in a "Son I am dissapoint" kind of way. When hanging out if my friend does something silly or stupid and we're poking fun at him he'll jokingly do it to himself.

I'm too big a dork to do any of that. When people ask me "what's up?", I look at the ceiling.

That's one of my handshakes. First we put a finger over our mouth and whisper "pshhhhht", followed by a chest bump while we both say "ZING!", next a double hand "slap" and then we both shout out "Homie Gay Shit!".

I can't figure out if this is racist, homophobic, or both.

I have this friend who creates threads about handshakes of all fucking things on a forum that I frequent. That's some goofy shit.

Ha! I probably shouldn't mention that I also greet one of my friends with the "Kid n' Play", but I JUST DID.

On the topic of Goofy, one of my favorite elementary school jokes:

"Did you hear that Mickey Broke up with Minnie?"
-Get out of town.
"No, I heard she's fucking Goofy".

For my closest friends I usually do a complicated fun handshake.

I have on several occasions used such handshake to flirt with the ladies. If there is some girl who hasn't hung with the group before and sees me an my buddy do the handshake I'll try and get her to do it. You can gauge a lot about the girl by doing this actually. If she looks at you like you're retarded she is probably a stick in the mud, if she gets a laugh out of it despite being lost and confused you might have yourself a winner.
