This would be awesome if a developer could deal with all the rights issues. Just a game full of famous car chases. Bullitt. Bourne. Batman. Gizmo. . . After clearing a chase you could go back and play the chases with any of the cars you've unlocked. Gotham in a mini cooper. The streets of San Francisco in the Tumbler.
Also, what the hell ever happened to the Spy Hunter movie with the Rock?
Movie Car Chases: The Game
Re: Movie Car Chases: The Game
It's cool that you made a topic about this, because I've been salivating for something like this as well. I was one of the 5 people that actually loved the stuntman games when they came out.
More recently, I finished NFS: The Run. SOOOO not worth $60. But the single player campaign (only takes about 2 hours to finish) is actually really awesome. It makes you feel like you're in a movie, and that got me thinking? Why not make a game like this?
I like your idea 100% and I'd buy it on day one.
The last stage of the game could the the mustang chase from Gone in 60 seconds. And throw in a few other goodies from the French Connection, and The Italian Job. Maybe something from The Transporter?

Re: Movie Car Chases: The Game
Great idea. I'd buy it for the RONIN car chase alone!
Re: Movie Car Chases: The Game
The licensing issues alone would scare off any developer to even think of this concept. The only way they could make something like this is if the levels were made up, maybe with a little hint of what they were supposed to be replicating, but nothing so close that they would get in trouble for.
