VVVVVV Now on 3DS

Post by scarper »

Just appeared in the Nintendo eShop yesterday. Really fun indie sidescroller.

The entire game is played by switching the gravity, and moving. It's very stylized to the Atari 2600 age, with the best chiptune music I have ever heard. It's also supposed to be insanely difficult. Current price is $7.99

Anyone tried it out yet?

Beaten it twice on PC. It's stupidly hard, but also incredibly fun.

*edit*

Is this a direct port of the 2D version on Mac/PC or did they 3D it up?

If it's 3D'd looks like I'll have to bite. I wish it were 500 points (same as the price of the Mac version) but eh I guess the portable factor makes it forgivable.

Anyone who wants to learn why they should invest a few bucks in VVVVVV should check out my review

and for video lovers, please watch the video review by the great Stephen Bray akaantisocialfatman, may he rest in peace. I didn't always agree with him, but his points were valid and he died too damn young.
