i want to know who do you think does the best reviews on youtube and please explain why.

one of may favorites but commonly known is Classic Game Room. they have reviews on everything. they love retro, but give modern reviews too. they constantly post new reviews. they are professional, no digital camera in the bedroom style reviews. they are humorous, and they decency to bleep out their little cursing in their reviews. they even had a legit game show online at one time.

another person i like for retro gaming is patthenespunk. he isnt so good for reviews, but in Flea Market Madness he shows of the great flea market experience.

Well for actual reviews I go for Classic Game Room, although I don't watch a lot of the newer release stuff. Also Lazy Game Reviews (phreakindee).

It's technically not a review series, but TotalBiscuit's (TotalHalibut) WTF is...? series is really fantastic, and that's generally what I look for first if I'm on the fence on a new game.

I too follow CGR, but his voice and his little "mascots" can be grating sometimes. I like how he gives reviews on nearly every console imaginible and his pinball/arcade games from PAPA are pretty cool too.

And yes I have a soft spot for the AVGN as well

Not a huge fan of AVGN, although I do find myself at time watching his videos. I am especially not a fan of Irate Gamer, since he just copied AVGN exactly. I do very often watch CGR. He can't make a video without talking about either Cosmic Carnage, Truxton, or beer. I also watch Pat the NES punk on occasion, and have seen every Flea Market Madness to date. If you like Flea Market Madness, you chould also check out Big Game Hunter (GameGavel).

Personally, video reviews are not my thing. I feel like watching someone talk about something slows down the time it takes for information to get to me, compared to just reading a review and looking at a screenshot (and a gameplay video, if I need to see it in action). Also, most of the youtube videos come off as the presenters actually presenting themselves more instead of their subject.

stever burdman unscripted reviews- wtf funny
Happy Console - my favorite

CGR usually shows some gameplay, which is one reason I watch it. I am one of those people that learn by listening rather than reading. I also like Roo of Clan of the Gray Wolf's 16 bit gems reviews.

avgn's and irate gamers language really pushes me away from their reviews

indeed i found it funny for the 1st few episode... then it just became a nonsense to hear cussing every other word, just to explain why the jump mech is broken.

I agree. Its kind of like Tourettes Guy, which is unrelated to video games, but it is only funny for awhile until it is just nonsense cussing.
