Review: Rebelstar Tactical Command (B) (GBA) (XCOM related)

I had this review lying around for a good while. Compared to most of my reviews it's very long but I'm moderatedly happy with the result.

Rebelstar Tactical Command is a reimagining of Rebelstar, the series that would later evolve into XCOM. While not the best SRPG around it the same combat system as it's big brother, making it stand out quite a bit.

Haha, no I didn't!

It's just...it has amazing mechanics but the stuff you do with it is not as interesting. It reminds me of Castlevania, but in reverse. Castlevania has the simplest and more limiting mechanics I have ever seen in a game but it's so carefully crafted it works wonderfully.
RSTC let's you do everything but the challenge is often based around camping orcs =p

But really, if you aren't bothered by the level design it is a really fun game, I'm not surprised you like it

Tough you beat me to XCOM, I only played it recently. Weren't you overwhelmed by the difficulty of Terror? It's bugged and gets stuck on the maximun difficulty!

We also both referenced FFTA, it was the first SRPG I played.

I played Terror From The Deep when I was like 15 or 16 and I doubt I ever even beat the first level. But I still found it fascinating.

you should. Even if I didn't agree, it was well written and interesting.
