Uploaded to Usenet file has been removed after 2 hours why ?

hi RB scene , i am planning to upload Virtua Fighter 5 Asian version for XBOX360 to usenet. I have acquired it and want to share it as its very hard to find.

I am new to uploading to usenet and im having a problem , i have tried uploading 3 all the same file to alt.binaries.dreamcast and all seemed fine. I checked about 2 hours later and they seemed to have been removed.

Anyone know why or whats up ? .......btw the files were Dreamcast related it was GDIexplorer app

Different usenet servers keep things different lengths of time. Most major US ISPs stopped usenet support a while back so you'd have to pay for one to use it. It's possible that they're filtering by size or content as well.

Im from Australia and i have a paid Account with Giganews although i dont have a SSL Account.

To me it sounds like this is the culprit as the file sizes were the same on all 3. I am uploading atm Super Street Fighter 2X GDI i will monitor it and see what happens.


btw did you see my Thank You Thread about moving a 100kg Arcade Machine ?

Ive finished uploading Super Street Fighter 2X GDI and refreshed the NZBindex page. The previous 3 uploads popped up !........weird stuff.

Ok, so you have a paid news server account, that's good. I was never a heavy usenet server but I did sometimes notice that pictures I uploaded would show up out of order or the occasional few would show up much later.

roger that Hobie , yeah i hardly use my Giganews subscription too. Im currently uploading Virtua Fighter 5 Asian version for XBOX360. It should take about 2 days hopefully everything works out fine.
