Hmm, the GTA3 engine had two more games before GTA4 came out. Right? I don't recall any GTA4-engine games coming out. I think there was just expansion pack(s) and maybe DLC, right? I guess the internet-ready consoles don't need additional games when we have DLC and expansion packs. Straight onto GTA5!

Any rate, I love the (post GTA3) series. Any game were you can play aimlessly for hours without even touching the "main" part of the game is awesome. I just thought we'd have modified GTA4 games on the PS3, and GTA5 would be on the PS4.

Big worlds, lots of freedom, a (dark) sense of humor, or the tons of content outside of the 'main' game?

Idk it seems pretty obvious to me. Even if you don't like them, I find it hard to imagine why you couldn't see what was appealing about them to everyone else.

Stoked. I hope they go back to the zaniness though. Saints Row 2 (and 3 is shaping up to be insanely awesome I'm sure) is some good competition. I had a lot of fun with GTAIV, but had even more fun with Saints Row 2.

Just Cause 2's crazy grappling hook antics won itself over as the sandbox king for me.

i think saint rows series gonna overtake gta, just because theres so many gta.... it just seems so washed out these days.

Its hard for me to get excited about GTA with Saints Row around. I'll probably end up buying it anyway though.

I bet it'll be a year and a half before the game actually comes out anyway.

Hopefully it'll be set somewhere outside the USA for a change. Oh and Saints Row is much more fun to play..

Maybe it'll be set in the 1970s?
