Games you refuse to buy no matter how cheap

Post by Anayo »

I've seen Bioshock 2 for sale around $7-$5 a bunch lately, but I just can't swallow sinking my time into a sequel. The original did not leave me thirsting for a sequel.

Duke Nukem Forever for $10 on steam just makes me roll my eyes. I don't think I'd play that if it was free (which is saying something cause I love 3D realms other work, like the original 1996 Duke and Lo Wang: Shadow Warrior).

Which recent releases do you simply refuse to buy, no matter how low the price drops?

If I see a cheap game that is ridiculous such as "Friends Trivia" for the PS2, I'm more inclined to purchase it if the price is real low cheap. That's basically when I purchase shitty games for the fun of it.

Otherwise, price doesn't have much of an impact on my game purchasing decisions.

I don't understand why you'd pay anything for a game that you find to be shitty. I don't know if other people have money to blow or what, but I live on a budget. So I only buy games that I'll play. The only time I get games I don't like is if I buy a lot of games on eBay and there happens to a be a couple in there I didn't like, then I usually immeadiatly add them to my trade list.

I've always wanted to play Friends: The One With All The Trivia for lulz, although I love the show so maybe my opinion about it is probably biased  .

Unlimited Saga and FFXIV are pretty cheap now but I'm probably not going to buy them ever (I might get FFXIV after the 2.0 patch).

You're missing the point. Given the right group of friends, shitty stuff can be a lot of fun. You should know, you liked the Green Lantern movie.

^that was a joke. No it wasn't, but it was.

I have to admit I find the show not awful/good all the time, but at times the show was good/good.

Kind of funny too; in college I would ask my friends which "Friend" they found most attractive. The girls would usually say Ross or Chandler. Guys would always say Rachael. But when I asked who would you want to sleep with, girls went straight for Joey, and guys went for Courtney Cox.

Seriously, Courtney Cox? That's a surprise to me.

I'd definitely choose Jennifer Aniston. No question at all.

Jennifer Aniston, sure, but not Rachel. What a whiny, manipulative bitch.

Brink.

I've seen it as low as $7.50 on Amazon Warehouse Deals. I've also seen it for $9.99 new and $9.99 used. I still can't bring myself to buy it considering the single player is a broken piece of crap with stupid AI. It doesn't help that the multi-player community is non-existent since the game sucks.

I have Friends: The One With All The Trivia. Well, techinically it's my wife's. It's an ok game, but a lot of the questions are seriously hard even for someone like her that has seen every episode more than once. It also has a fairly bland presentation, except for the times they show film clips.
