Been awhile since I was here but a little history. I am co-owner of Out-of-Print Archive (http://www.outofprintarchive.com), a digital online museum of sorts that works with publishers of gaming magazines. We work with many UK based publishers to archive their magazines from 2003 and earlier. We recently broke into the North American world with the announcement of a partnership with Gamefan Magazine (http://www.gamefanmag.com).

Gamefan just released the first two issues of their original print run from the early 1990's on their store (http://www.shopgamefan.com). These releases are official Out-of-Print, full on, releases that we ourselves scanned and edited for release. We are hard at work on more issues so, please, enjoy them while they are available.

That's awesome that the publishers are working with you. At the same time it is terrible that they don't have these stored in some fashion. By the 90s everything would have been done on a computer, I would think they'd have their own archive of them.

Gamefan was sold at least 3 times to various companies/investors, all of which took possession of any and all assets that the magazine had (including hard drives and print proofs). None of this stuff has been made available to us for various reasons, most prominent of which is that Dave Halverson simply doesn't have it.

As we progress through the history of Gamefan though, there will be some things made available, through scans, to the fans that were not available before - could be never before seen layouts, reviews that got cut, covers that were not used, etc. I can't reveal anything right now though other than to say, keep an eye open for some really cool stuff coming from OoPA and our publishing partners such as Gamefan.
