Persona 4 Portable and Persona Fighting Game Announced!

Good news to fans of the Persona series of RPGs; Atlus just confirmed that Persona 4 Portable is now in development for the PlayStation Vita! The remake will be called Persona 4: The Golden, and will have 50% more voice work, extra story content, FMV cutscenes, music, online capabilities, a "highly-requested" unannounced feature addition, and even a new playable character! It's coming out soon, too; next spring in Japan! What's even more shocking is that Atlus is teaming up with Arc System Works to make a fighting game based off of Persona 3 & 4! This is the kind of game fans dream about, but are sure would never happen. Well, here it is; the Persona fighting game exists. What does all this mean? It means that not only what is quite possibly the PS2's finest RPG is getting better, but that the Vita just became a Day-1 purchase for me.

As a fan, I have to say...just beautiful.....This is seriously some of the best fan service coming to us. The fighting game is just a huge plus alongside the revamped P4. Good thing these things are coming next spring, it gives me time to make money since I'm flat broke, and I have to have these, no matter what.

I hope they allow us to save anytime, or at least add more savepoints. It would suck if the Vita ran out of juice before I get to a save point.

I might actually have to pick up a portable system again for the first time in a very long time. I didnt see anything about the fighting game on that link though. Which system was that being developed for?

Read in another article it'll be released in arcades first, then ported to the 360 and PS3.

I'm not even a Persona fan and this has me excited. Mainly because the fighting game is being made by Arc System Works. Almost guaranteed to be great (Unless it's like Guilty Gear 2... )

The extra content for Persona 4 is nice, but Persona 3 and 4 are already TOO LONG for me. Some of the few RPGs I have played that I actually found to drag on way too long. It's nice that there is so much to do but yea.
