Street Fighter III: Anniversary Collection or Online Edition

Quick question for you all:
I tried Street Fighter III a long time ago and was getting really hyped for the Online Edition release. When I downloaded the demo though, I was a little disappointed that the 2D sprite graphics with the filters off didn't seem right.
So now I'm trying to decide whether to pick up the Anniversary Collection for $10 from Amazon or the $15 Online Edition from XBLA. I'm a newb, so I'm drawn to the new training features in Online Edition, but I don't know how much I'll be fighting online. My priorities are:
1. Good-feeling gameplay
2. Awesome 2D animation
3. Training mode to help me become decent
4. Online play
Any advice about which title you'd prefer in the long run?

Get 3rd Strike Online edition as it is the one that most people will play (Including me).
To get the best retro and original feeling of the game try to use this settings.
Filters: NONE (this just make the game look horrible and kill the beautiful pixel art of the game)
Screen Mode: Original Aka 4:3 (this is the original screen ratio of the game, anything else will mess it up).
Scanlines: ON if you're playing on a Plasma TV or on a LCD or LED TV or Monitor.
OFF If you're playing on a CRT Monitor or an old school TV.

Do you want Hyper SFII? Or do you not care? That should be how you decide

I just ordered the Anniversary Collection, so I should get it next week.

Just wanted to let you know that the anniversary edition of Street Fighter has the worst 3rd Strike port.

I would suggest the same, the training modes are excellent

Thanks for the advice, I went ahead and took the plunge to buy SFIII: Online Edition. I'm digging it so far, it's really fun even though I'm no good. The training modes
are excellent, I feel like a boss after parrying Super Arts. Still can't beat Gill at the end of arcade mode though.
By the way, what makes the Anniversary port of 3rd Strike bad? That's the only one I've played besides Online Edition, so I'm curious. I seem to remember the sprites looking better in that version than here in Online Edition, but it might just be nostalgia. I tried what was suggested, and shrinking my screen down and taking the filters off made it seem mostly OK. (And I do just happen to be on a CRT HDTV.)

try both games out on ggpo with online play before you commit to either purchase.

It's not bad, it just isn't tournament standard. There's a sliver of lag, according to some guys on a forum I frequent, and the 360 doesn't emulate it the best, thus it's not
remembered as a truly astounding port.

...he's asking about two different ports of the same game
ggpo won't help him at all

if he if he can hold his own online he should get the psn/live version, if he can't he should just get the anniv. collection.
