Hi Everyone,
I'm thinking of buying an old gameboy to play some classics. I bought a game boy color, but the contrast and visibility is horrible for older games. Which do you think is a better alternative? Game boy pocket or light? I'd rather have something that looks like a game boy, so i'm not interested in the game boy advance sp.
I'm also interested in places to find these systems outside of ebay.

What's the better game boy pocket or game boy light?

Game Boy Light is the best model of original hardware, as the backlit screen is great. Of course the downfall is you can't play GBC cartridges on it, and it tends to go for crazy $$$ on eBay.

The Gameboy Light is not backlit, it's frontlit like the first model GBA SP. I'd say go for a GameBoy Pocket as they cost around $10 vs $90+.

Not that I trust everything I read on wikipedia, but:
The Game Boy Light is only slightly bigger than the Game Boy Pocket and features an Electroluminescent backlight for low-light conditions.
