Post by pureevil »

I have noticed that the right hand side thumb stick on my 360 pad has worn very quickly about six months,it still works fine its just worn down and is a bit out of shape.

1.any suggestions?
2.I have seen rubber covers for thumb sticks anyone tryed them?
3.is it easy to maybe replace thumb stick?

please help if you can

Rubber covers work great

What do you play that uses the right tumbstick? If it's an FPS, I suggest

Makes a good difference in my COD gameplay

It is playing cod that has done it good guess.the thumb sticks I've seen are think more like a cover than a add on don't you find them a bit thick ? looks like it would feel a bit strange.

You'd need a long security torx bit or screwdriver to get a pad open and the last screw is hiding under the serial number sticker in the battery compartment for wireless ones, but the thumbsticks just pop right off and on so they're easy to replace. Easy to find custom colors on ebay too. I'm sure online mod stores will stock them too.

Well, the point of the FPS freek is to add an extra centimeter to the joystick length, making it easier to make fine movements. Lets say you want to tilt the right thumbstick 10 degrees to the left, with the stock joystick, that's a 1 mm movement, with the extended joystiq, that's around 4-5 mm. I play with the look sensitivity at 10, so I find the FPS freek necessary.

As for the comfort, it is actually really comfortable with the extra length.
