Smallville: The Final Episode and Memories ***SPOILERS***

Smallville. 10 seasons. The only other scripted show that I remember from recent memory that lasted that long was Stargate SG-1 (well, Doctor Who too, if your British). So love it or hate it, it was successful. The show has had it's high moments, and it's low moments. The 2-hour first episode was amazing, and a love-letter to Richard Donner's Superman movies in many of the scenes. But most of the other episodes those first couple of season were pretty bland and boring, and was far too full of stupid teen-drama crap. It was about Season 3 that it really started getting good, and the storylines started steering away from teen romance as much more into the realm of comic books and fantasy. The more the show went on, the better that got.
I especially enjoyed the guest-star episodes: The Martian Manhunter episode, The Justice League episode, the Legion of Super-Heroes episode, and especially the Justice Society of America episode. Also the Season 3 (or maybe it was Season 4) finale was AWESOME! That was the one where there was another meteor shower in Smallville and Kryptonian ships were landing in the midst of it. At the same time, Lana's boyfriend was going all Serial Killer on Clark's family, and Clark discovers The Fortress of Solitude.
As for the final episode itself, I thought it sucked. They tried to cram too much into one episode, even if it was a 2-hour episode. They had an entire season, since episode 1 of this season they knew it was their last season. Not many shows actually get that kind of opportunity. And they blew it. They could have stretched a few of the things out that happened in this episode into the season and the storylines would have worked MUCH better.
1. Lex Luthor returns and he kills Tess for no apparant reason other than her being there. And he loses his memory because why? It's not like there's gonna be another season to explore this storyline. WTF?!
2. Superman defeats the great and mighty Darkseid with one attack..ONE ATTACK!
3. Superman stops Apokolips, a planet full of evil Gods and their dark minions with nothing more than quick push? COME ON!
4. Green Arrow takes out 3 Gods with 3 arrows...really? I know he's Green Arrow, but they're freaking GODS!
However, seeing the suit and Clark fly was cool, even if it wasn't for all that long. And I was happy to hear the John Williams' Superman theme at the end.
Anyone else want to share memories/opinions about the show and the final episode?
