PS2 Problems. Games don't boot up controller problems & more

Post by XxBroBuzzxX »

I've got a whole bunch of PS2 problems. (It's a Slim model BTW)
  1. Games don't boot up popularly. Alot of the time, the disk will not spin in the Disk-tray. It's not a problem with dirty disks because most of my games are scratch free . (And it did this with my brand new copy of FFX)
  2. Once I actually get a game to boot up, sometimes the game has trouble loading. For example. When I use a spell in FFX, it'll get stuck on the pre-spell animation. If this happens, I have to take the disk and and hope that it works.
  3. Plain and simple, my controller will not work. I have no idea why it's doing this.

looks like your laser is almost dead. also, if a known good controller isnt working at all, it's probably a blown controller port fuse.

you could PROBABLY get a little extra life out of it by turning the resistance down on the pots, but it's better just to get a new laser. or a new PS2 in some cases.
