8GB Ipod Touch won't turn on.

The title pretty much says it all. A friend of mine is giving me an old Ipod Touch next week. He told me he's unable to turn it on, even after two hours of charging. He also said that there are no visible lights when connected to a charger? Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong with it? Can it possibly be fixed?

Dead battery? try replacing the battery with someone else´s ipod.
charger dead?
Might be a loose contact somewhere. open her up and look for clues.
Perhaps there are forums better suited for these types of questions. I hope you can revive it.

I was kind of figuring, and hoping, that it would just be a dead battery or a faulty charger. I'll definitely try those things first. Thanks for the response.

Take it to the Apple Store in South Hills Village in Pittsburgh. That's gotta be the closest to Fairmont.
