The "Recommend Me A Game" Thread

Post by racketboy »

I thought of an interesting idea that can be both a help to gamers in need and serve as a game for the rest of us. Here's how it will work...

One person posts the name of a game that they enjoy, but would like something similar, but possibly a bit more obscure.

Then somebody recommends them a related game or two that they might enjoy as well.
It doesn't have to be on the same platform, but that might help.

Here are some examples:

If somebody likes Gunstar Heroes on the Genesis, they might also enjoy Gunners Heaven on the Playstation or Alien Hominid on the Gamecube/PS2

If somebody likes Guardian Heroes on the Saturn, they might like River City Ransom on the NES or GBA

Excellent idea.

I'll go first then!

I love Jet Set Radio and Jet Set Radio Future. What else might I enjoy thats similar to them?!

Well I didn't think there was anything similar to Jet Set Radio; but a few seconds of research I pulled up a game called "Ollie King"

Looks awesome

Similar to Tony Hawk though

Yeah, I wish they made a console version though...
There are a few songs that overlap between JSRF and Ollie King soundtracks

Alright -- sounds fun.

Somewhat of an obscure title: M.U.L.E.

For something, hopefully, easier, I also love Bomberman battle mode.
