It's Jim Sterling on Destructoid. Enough grains of salt to worry your cardiologist must be taken with anything he says.

Retro games do suck, name one retro game that is better than Madden 11. You can't do it, it is impossible.

Meh. I don't see the big deal. He's complaining about retro gamers who claim that everything made recently sucks. He has a valid point there.

He goes a bit far in his reaction by then saying that so many old games are crappy. I don't know what he's talking about when he mentions pacing in the Legend of Zelda.

He actually has a good underlying point, especially regarding the age issue. I can relate, as I too grew up with Transformers, He-Man, Atari, NES, etc. Absolutely, unequivocally, a lot of it really is total shit, especially played and watched now.

So what? I think he misses the entire point of retrogaming.

There is a bit of a point about nostalgia in that vid, but there are games I liked as a child/teen that people consider crap, but I still find I like them, including Jurassic Park (http://www.sega-16.com/review_page.php?id=474&title=Jurassic%20Park, http://www.gamefaqs.com/genesis/563328-jurassic-park/reviews, which is clearly not unanimously considered crap).

Honestly, every argument/conflict of interest comes down to one thing: No one can just add "to me" at the end of their opinions. This in turn makes their opinion come across like they're trying to state fact, and well, you know how people react from there....

I always stay away from "Old Gaems are teh sux" articles. They're usually filled with titles that no one's heard of or movie licensed titles. "Hey! Remember Friday the 13th?! How about Ka-Ge-Ki: Fists of Steel? The old days really sucked!" That son of a bitch ain't getting a view from me.

I don't Blame ya. I don't know how much of this is really meant to be taken seriously anyway.

He has one called "Hey Zelda Fans, STFU" in which he bashes people complaining about their dislikes of the newer games coming out, and underneath the video it says:
