Homebrew portable CDX

Post by brak »

Not sure if everyone has seen this yet. Ben Heck makes a CDX more portable that it normally is by adding a built-in screen and controller

The big fault i see is him removing the cart slot. So, now it only plays sega cd games.

In my opinion, it seems like he bought a relatively rare devices, took it apart, removed a key function to it, and enjoys poking fun at the fact that in now only plays sub-par FMV games.

He probably could have done some workarounds with a genesis and sega cd if he wanted a portable device that exclusively played the latter if he wanted that. But the CDX is portable enough already it doesn't need to be chopped down any more. But Sewer Shark on the go sounds nice lol.
