I like the art direction. It's a nice re-imagining of the Yar's Revenge world. The gameplay looks fun, though it looks more like Sin & Punishment or Panzer Dragoon than it does Yar's Revenge. It could be good anyway though.

definitely yar's by name only. it's cool to see where the inspiration has gone though... should be a fun one!

I saw this on RockPaperShotgun and holy shit I hated it. I'm sure it'll be a fun game, but I hate the art direction.

Actually no, there was a sequel released on the Atari Flashback 2 console back in 2005.
This is a "re-imagining".
And to the original poster, the original is Yars' Revenge, not Yar's.
