The laminate flooring makes a great backdrop for the Woody now that you mention it!

The 2600 is actually where I first played Space Invaders.... I guess I didnt mind it much back then. Curious to see it again...

Actually, its real hardwood in my 1962 house....
But yeah, my new Canon S95 does wonders in low light....

Whoops! I've got laminate so I'm just used to calling it that even when it's hardwood as odd as that sounds. As a videographer, I love any camera, photo or video, that does good in low light! The high-end prosumer level video ones I have to use most of the time I do shoots need ridiculous amounts of light.

My second favorite version of Space Invaders is the 2600 one. The death animation and noise always make my day. My first memories are of repeatedly dying in Frogger and Space invaders and laughing my head off.
Nice haul BTW, they all look to be in great condition.

I was so excited to play Space Invaders on my Atari, so I borrowed a friend's copy and gave it back the next day feeling completely crushed and betrayed by one of my favorite arcade games.
Really? I always thought the 2600 version of Space Invaders was pretty decent. Of course it lacks the awesome sounds and cabinet art of the original, but the gameplay is there. Pac-Man is an abomination, but it is a famous abomination. I'm guessing that's why Racket got it since it and E.T. stand out like turds in the punch bowl among a selection of excellent games.
Atari carts are great and they're easy and fun to buy on ebay and half.com where you can get a bunch of great games for a few bucks, but if you want to play every game on the original hardware you might look into getting a Harmony cart: http://harmony.atariage.com/
It's a cheap way to play the system's homebrews, too!

Good selection of stuff there. Definitely track down Demon Attack.

The copy I played sounded worse than any other Atari game I had played and the game constantly experienced graphical glitches like enemies/barriers disappearing when they shouldn't and the "bullet" traveling straight through enemies without doing anything. I wonder if it was just the cartridge I was using. I can usually find it for 50 cents to a buck if not cheaper so if I find a cartridge sometime in the near future I'll pick one up and give it another go then.
The Harmony cart looks like something that's really worth my time and I might get mostly because I've recently been looking into the Homebrew scene after falling head over heals for Halo 2600. Thanks for sharing the link with everyone!
