SMS FM Expansion Board Help?

Hey guys,
Has anyone ever done this modification before? I am a little confused about where to put the shield on a NTSC sms.
The instructions the maker of the board gave are:
"NTSC SMS
Remove C37, white wire to +ve, red wire to -ve. There's a ground plane around the base of the capacitor so just scrape off a bit of the green stuff and solder the shield to that. The heatsink on the voltage regulator many need to be removed for access (remember to put it back!).
Note that the diagram below is incorrect, the white/red indicators are swapped around."

I am not the best with this kind of stuff, I understand where to put the red and white wires but the shield is where i'm lost. What does he mean scrape off some of the green stuff?

Here is a picture of my SMS's board:

Thanks guys!

The green stuff is the protective coating on the motherboard, and he is referring to the GROUND connection. Find a GROUND point and solder the shield to that, you don't have to scrape anything he was just talking about a quick and close point. That green stuff isn't only covering GROUND, it also covers voltages so double check you are using a GROUND point if scraping it.

Thanks electrochip
I am a bit of a noob, how exactly can I locate a ground point? haha. Is there another way without scraping some of the green stuff off?
Thanks!

do you have a multimeter? if not try soldering a wire to the metal shielding that surrounds the RF.
