Best Wii/GC imports?

Post by DownSince86 »

Hello all,

I love my Wii and Gamecube and I'm blowing through most of the North American releases I'm interested in pretty quickly. Both are modded and able to boot games from other regions so I'm turning to 'net in search of good games to import.

I'm mostly interested in Japanese games but if there was a good game released in PAL regions I'm certainly willing to give it a try.

So, which import games do you recommend? I don't mind a lot of Japanese as I can understand a little of it, but I don't see myself finishing an epic RPG without an English translation any time soon. ;) So keep that in mind. :p

Looking forward to replies.

Edit: BTW I already own Puyo Puyo 7 and Fatal Frame 4.

Kururin Squash for the Cube. No translation needed.

Not really sure what the status is on these translations of Giftpia and Captain Rainbow, but these both too - link. Don't play Giftpia without a translation. Tried it and there was no fun to be had.

Disaster Day of Crisis was liked by many. PAL and JPN release. Both have english VA.

428 for Wii. Don't know anything about it, but it's apparently really good.

Takt of Magic.

Probably not the best person to ask. Hope I helped a bit though. Bed time.

Gundam Scad Hammer. I've played with the idea of importing that one for awhile.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

yes the Hudson Best Collection is great. 2.5D remakes of Bonk, Adventure Island, Lode Runner and Star Soldier. Which leads me to the fact that my favorite GCN imports are shmups. Namely Shikigami No Shiro II and Radirgy GeneriC.

I suggested Homeland for the online multiplayer; there are save files available online that unlock the multiplayer right away. Also, I completely forgot about Doshin; I always think of only Japanese games when I think of imports. :P I have to get that game, eventually, if I don't come across a 64DD.
