I didn't find any posts about this with a forum search, but it looks like our prayers have been answered.
They're making Mega Man Legends 3, and it's gonna be developed in part by the fans. They've got a community site where you can get a servbot number and stuff. Kinda sweet!

I'm pretty psyched about it but Inafune leaving the company right as the game goes into development has shaken me a bit.
It's always better to have no sequel than a bad one, right? I'm going to wait until they are further along before I start cranking the 'hope' dial.

That's pretty cool, having a forum for fan input. Seems like they're giving this one much care. Unfortunately, don't have time to join right now, as school is hammering its weight on me until winter break.
Also, is there any news about it being on another platform other than the 3DS? That's my main hope right now.

Now HERE'S the Capcom that I know and love! Always dedicated to their fans, and willing to take risks to please them.

Yeah, but if you read what he said about why he left, it didn't sound like he had much input anymore anyway. I mean, the producer is essentially just a figurehead. But that's any game nowadays. They're created by enormous teams, not one dude who's also dealing with the press and public appearances and stuff.
Besides, a lot of this one is up to the fans.
