What is this?

Post by jeffro11 »

Seriously, what is it.

It looks like a cd rack or some sort...

But... it doesn't fit jewel cases, it doesn't fit dvd cases (not even made around that time). It doesn't hold sega cd games either. WHAT IS IT!?!?

It looks like a rack for your Sega Genesis games...

They don't fit. Games are and inch too short.

Maybe the shelf is a bit taller than the games to leave room for those little tabs on the top of the games or to allow room for your hand?

Probably it's for instruction manuals?

Well, it says Sega Genesis on the front so I think it must be for it or Sega CD games.

I suspect that the ridges on the shelves are there just for looks and aren't meant to secure any type of media between them.

With the thing horizontal, do Gen boxes fit in with the ridges on the sides of them?

No they do not Hobie. This thing literally fits nothing. It's why I posted here with this oddball item.

Genny carts are too small to fit in it, they just fall over
Genny boxes both plastic and cardboard don't fit, or just fall out.
CD cases are too small to be held by the grooves.
Sega CD cases are far too large.

I'm at a loss as to it's use.
