localize. It's already a huge problem that both Enslaved and Majin are doing poor in sales, so I really think some people are just acting very immature about Namco not localizing tales. Yea, Namco probably has Vesperia on hold, but even I would be a bit hesitant to release it over here. I wouldn't want thousands of copies to be untouched at the warehouse just cause people spent their money on Black Ops and Assassin's Creed. I have bought Majin, Enslaved, and Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2, which were all really great games. You don't have the money to purchase these games? how bout borrow the game from a friend? If you like it, please consider purchasing it NEW. TBH I haven't really supported Namco because I have purchased mainly used games in the past. If you want to see more games coming straight from Namco, then I suggest you contribute to the company by purchasing their recent released games.
You can even check the ratings for the games I have just mentioned and they are really above average.

just read this article. it's not much, but it's at least better than nothing.

you can say they are making that shit up, but they're not going to make any money if we start boycotting especially when most of the tales sales are fanbase.
If you boycott Namco, where will they get the money to.....

I guess Blizzard sold copies of Starcraft for 12 years at a loss because they're nice guys, huh?JC48573 wrote:Remember that companies only make profit in the first 10 weeks of sales.
Sorry to derail, but where did that nonsense factoid come from?

I don't think the very small percentage of gamers boycotting them for this reason makes a dent in their bottom line. If more people bought the tales games in the first place, then they'd certainly be happy to localize.JC48573 wrote:localize. The problem is that people are not really interested in the Tales franchise, which there is nothing much we can do. I'm pretty sure namco is well aware of the fanbase, but maybe it's not really enough for them to make any sort of profit.dsheinem wrote:I don't think the very small percentage of gamers boycotting them for this reason makes a dent in their bottom line. I blame it on the consumers who play nothing but Call of Duty and Mario.

I assume this thread is, in some way at least, directed at me in particular, so allow me to comment. Based on this article, ending my boycott of Bamco is a double-edged sword. On one hand, Bamco America gets more money, so they can keep making games. However, I am not impressed by the company's recent games, so I don't want to buy them; if I buy them, then I'm showing support for games that I don't like or care about, so they will be more inclined to make those games. If I choose to continue not supporting them, then they won't have more money to make more games. It's a losing situation for me, either way.

Actually I think not buying their games except the Tales series is the best way to get your statement across that you love the Tales series.lisalover1 wrote:I assume this thread is, in some way at least, directed at me in particular, so allow me to comment. Personally I never cared enough for a developer to buy their game just to help them. I really want to see the end of The Longest Journey story, but why should I subscribe to Age of Conan just in order to help the company until they decide to make the game I want?

boycott Namco Bandai? not a chance. they've published some favorites of mine over the past few years, and their arcade work has been phenomenal (looking at you, Tank! Tank! Tank!)
