If this been posted, I apologies in advance

Has anyone ever seen this flash series, I do have to say that its the most intense and best looking sprite movie series ever. Sure the story is not that great but the fighting scenes completely over shadowed it.

Episode 1

Episode 2

Episode 3

yeah I was hoping that Scorpion would win at the second one. To me personally, I think the creator is secretly a Street Fighter fanboy, oh well, at least its entertaining.

Good movies

The story is utter crap (of course :P) but the fights are decently choreographed and very well done with the limitations of the sprites. Definitively worth seing (and if you want skip the story until you get to the meat).

fyi me = sf fanboy.

MK got boring after 2. I think CVS2 is by far the best 2d fighter ever made.

Decently choreographed??? Those were better than anything DBZ has put out, and they didn't have sprite limitations.

I've yet to see a full on flame war in this forum, but if any thread is gonna start one, I think it could be this because of it's title alone :)

I was never much of a Mortal Kombat fan.
I did enjoy the Gameboy version I borrow from a friend, but that was only because it was my first way of playing a fighting game on a portable

I've always enjoyed both

Mortal Kombat has always been more interesting with its characters, story and universe. I've actually found some of the stories in MK interesting while Street Fighter's stories are mostly boring with a bunch of characters like Zangief, Dhalsim, etc whose stories you just don't give a crap about. MK has interdimensional demons, gods, ghosts, etc. More exciting.

Plus the sheer amount of secrets made the MK games really intriguing. And of course, there's the gore. Blood and guts does not a great game make, but it's still fun. Plus, I love the chop socky, bad kung fu movie feel of the games. It's fun, esepcially when you play Shaolin Monks. Part of the fun of Mortal Kombat is the sheer insanity and unpredictability of it all and the games let you do stuff that more serious fighters of the time would never allow like fatalities. Mortal Kombat is like a fun, unpredictable girl who's up for anything.

Street Fighter does have deeper gameplay though, and really is the series for people who want to really master a game and get more longevity out if. Keeping with the girl analogy, I guess SF would be marriage material, assuming you could stop the one night stands with MK. Plus, the SF games are actually more accesible since the violence and chop socky feel of the MK games turn some people off. A big plus for SF too is the beautifully drawn and animated 2-d art. Though, I did like the digitized look of Mortal Kombat as well. It just fit MK better. I think another thing that's great about SF games is the music. I tend to not remember much of the music from the MK games.

If I had to choose, I'd say I'm a Street Fighter guy. One thing that has always killed MK for me is the uber cheapness of the computer AI where the games would blatantly be reading your moves.

I loved Shaolin Monks though, and I would honestly much prefer seeing MK continue as a beat'em up series.
