Ghostbusters

Post by env963 »

I own both the Wii and PS3. After researching which ghostbusters to pick up, i decided to get the Wii version of this game. Even though I know the PS3 has way better graphics, I am hoping the Wii controls are used in a way that will be totally enjoyable. Anyone else have this dilemma? LOL

i'd say the Wii version.

Gamespot score:
Wii version: 8.0
PS3 version: 7.5

IGN score:
Wii versuin: 7.8
PS3 version: 8.0

plus it's probably 10 bucks cheaper anyway.

Why? Does it play better? I know the graphics are way better, but if the controls aren't as cool as the Wii version. I dont see the point.

They're probably different enough that both are worth playing, if you can afford it. But I guess then you wouldn't have made this post. Well, I've only played the PS3/Xbox version, but if you're looking for a continuation of the Ghostbusters movie experience, that's the version to get. If you're looking for Wiimote flailing, obviously you want the DS version. I mean Wii.

Ouch, you dont like your wii? LOL Resident evil 4 on the wii is the bomb! Better then all the other ones I have played. Love those controls. Sin and Punishment on the wii once again, love the controls with the wii mote. I just think that using the wii mote to aim the proton pack has got to be fun. We will see. Maybe if the game is cool enough, ill want both versions.

i think the ps3 version is probably what you should of got.

Graphics, gameplay, sound, all that stuff.
Usually if there is two release for the wii and ps3, i tend to buy for ps3.

First off, I'm not a Wii hater. I love my Wii, my first party titles, and my VC/WiiWare games.

That being said, I didn't much enjoy Ghostbusters on the Wii. My bro got it for me for my birthday the year it came out. I wanted to get it for PS3, but he got it for Wii. I played more than half way through it but couldn't play it anymore. It got way too repetitive. PS3 version might be the same, but at least I wont be having to wave my arms around every two second for most of the gameplay. It got old real fast.

I downloaded the PC version but haven't checked it out yet. I'm hoping it'll be more enjoyable not having to wave my arms around for the entire gameplay.

The waggle controls aren't great neither is the behind cover aiming with the wiimote, the graphics could be an issue too, I wasn't taken with the more cartoon-y style.

Well I got the Wii version and beat it tonight. I liked it. Lots of rambling on about the game being repetitive with the "waggle"... whatever, i played through it took me 11.5 hours to beat. I took my time. Although I haven't quite had enough. I want to get the PS3 version now! LOL Game was fun. Especially fun if you grew up in the 80's and remember these movies.
