PS3 Hack/Emulation?

Post by christoph »

Whats the word on PS3 being hacked now? Still to early for anything yet?

Its only $29.99 for the USB hack.. http://www.ishopvideogame.com/ps3-break ... ml?ref=131

Anyone here hacked theirs yet?

I would love to be able to run emulators on my PS3, you can't do this already can you?

I'm still waiting for the usb dongle in the post... I do see emulation potential in this... And really hope i can access PSN without losing my emulation, homebrew etc...

I get how jailbreak device works, but how does one transfer the game files from your PC to an external hard drive and make it work on ps3. sure i can get the games work by internal ps3 drive. I haven't looked into FTP thingy, I don't have a clue what does it do. It so simple to do stuff on wii iso usb loader

direct me somewhere (links) or video help. i use ps3_ key.

Video games should always be cheap now then in the past (80's-90's). Katamari Damacy is a great example.

I think I read somewhere that you can load apps/files/homebrew straight from a usb drive

I assume you do this by putting it on an external USB harddrive and then plugging that into your PS3. Can anyone confirm?

I setup my usb drive in /GAMEZ/ or in a GAMEZ folder and it doesn't recognize it.

External drives have to be Fat32 formatted which is no good for pirate games, as it only allows 4GB maximum filesizes. games can only be booted from your internal drive at the moment, burn them to DVD and rip them, or remover your internal and copy direct from PC
