Did anyone play Dark Void Zero?

Post by jfe2 »

I bought it when they released it on Steam but never really tried to finish it until today. Am I the only person who finds it to be really difficult?

The issue I've been having has more to do with the limited amount of lives you get in relationship to the length of the levels. I've made it to the boss on the first level twice and lost my last life there both times. On one hand, it makes it old school brutally difficult, but on the other hand I would like to finish the game...

Anyone who played this want to weigh in?

Only the iTouch version. Pretty good retro game.

I also bought on Steam and also did not pass the first level. It is very hard. I kind of like the challenge, but I haven't gone back to it for awhile.

I bought it both on Steam and DSiWare. Didn't find it particularly difficult at all, but then I grew up with games like that.

No because it has a 5-machine activation limit with SecuROM DRM. Really, Capcom? It's a five dollar game.

Good to know I'm not the only one who is having difficulty with it... my goal this week is to beat it and get a review put up on The Old Bits.

Let me know how you do IcKy! I'm going to start playing in a bit. I can make it to the first boss, but he kicks my ass pretty quick. I did get used to his pattern the last time he killed me though. Let me know if there is a save or password system once you beat him, I'll do the same.
