I saw this at my local game store and picked it up because I collect ps1 stuff and I've never seen the original ps1 controllers in any color but gray before. I know sony only made these models for a few years before they started fazing them out for the dual shocks. If anyone can tell me anything about it, I'd appreciate it. I'm wondering what other colors these came in now.

You got an albino ps1 controller, get it.
I actually got one for ps1 dualshock white color probably for psone

I saw one of those today as well. I love the scph-1080 for 2D games. I would have grabbed it as well but it was in terrible shape.

As far as I've seen there are:

Blue

Green

Red (I own one)

Black

White (I own one)

Yellow

Darker version of the normal gray

Several clear colors

I've been after the colors in the wild for years and never really come across them often, if ever. They're not exactly rare per se, a glance at eBay can show you most of them on a good day. They are however like all things pre-late 1996-early '97/PS1 dominance era just a tad scarce to get at as not many people at the time owned a PS1.

Interesting and thanks for the info guys. I'll have to keep an eye out and see if I can pick up a few more these at some point.
