Front Mission is an isometric SRPG with a focus on story telling and mech customization.

I don't know what this game is. Count me out.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I'm on the fence to be honest. I was such a fan of front mission 3, and have played the series back to the original. I am open to the style change but the execution will sway me either direction.

I like Front Mission and I like Armored Core. This looks like a fusion of the two, so I'm onboard.

Every last word here applies to me as well. the only thing that worries me is that square-enix decided to have double helix help...and at this point I'm not sure i can trust them with a series such as Front Mission. But if they execute it well, then I will be open arms to this game.

As a fan of all giant robot games I am definitely going to pick this up...unless it gets horrible reviews. I actually am glad to see the series move away from its turn based strategy roots. Nothing they do is ever going to be as good as front mission 3, so why not try something else.

The last great 'giant robot' game was Mechwarrior 3, MW4 (both iterations) were good but hardly improved on their predecessor, and I thought they looked slightly worse. Armored Core is getting there, but it's severely lacking in story delivery. I hope FME proves a decent throwback to 90s robot action.

Btw, is it too much to ask for a fusion of direct vehicle control and strategy?

it looks like a 3D "gun hazard," which is just fine with me.
