Can anyone else smell that god awful synthetic children's tylenol smell that eminates from women's perfume? It makes me sick. The same smell is also in things like shampoo and bodywash.
I don't really like the smell of any perfume, but not all perfumes have this chemical smell. Is it some sort of preservative?
Anyway, it's awful. Just take a goddamn shower.
Stop wearing perfume. It smells like #@%^#$

Finally some one said it. I hate perfumes, colonges, and strong deoderants. I think its the alcohol in perfumes that make them stink, and I always have an allergic reaction around them.
Where's my chippy? There's my chippy.

I agree. I like the way women smell naturally. Some of them anyhow...

It really depends, I've had that experience of smelling someone's perfume and hating it, but some girls I've known use stuff that just smells great on them. I actually have a cologne I use sometimes. I like the smell of it and no one has ever complained about it. I don't use it every day though, but when I do, just a dab on my wrists, neck and behind the ears. I use very little
As for shampoos, I don't know what kind my first girlfriend used, but god I always loved the smell of her hair

I think you've come across the wrong women or men in general. Perfume/calognes are not supposed to be sprayed all over the body libearlly. They are supposed to be used sparingly, like a light single spritz on the wrist and then rubbed together or right on the neck area.
I do agree people who wear too much calogne or perfume need to be informed about how much they smell, but if used properly perfumes can be pleasant enough.
I suppose it also comes down to what kind of fragrance the person is using. Some people are more sensitive to musks and floral scents than others.

What of the ones called "eau de toilette" water?
A side track, sorry.
How about all the hand sanitizers. Seems the chemical is worse then natural bacteria.
True Story, read about this years ago.

The host human was so adapted to hookworms that the immune system was basically docile and not create all the unnecessary histamines. Bodies own defense mechanism sometimes worse then the disease it is fighting. Years later after the worm was eradicated, tribe members would become more supseptical to various allergies. The study showed the body was at peace with the hook worm invasion. After hookworm eradicated, body defense mechanism would flair up on exposure to say Hay Fever from pollen.
Now use this same analogy with hand sanitizers, points to ponder.
1. Any chemical, especially long term exposure usually not good for you.
2. A too clean for lack of better adjective, "Germaphobic" may put body at risk later (analogy above).

A follow up article I read had an interesting point:A series of studies into symbiosis with worms and humans have recently been funded after a group of tribes in deepest darkest (highest/hottest) Africa were found to have absolutely zero cases of allergy and related diseases. That is, there were no cases of hay fever, athsma, eczema, coeliac’s disease (severe intolerance/allergy to wheat, gluten and derivatives), chrons disease (similar presentation to coeliac’s but more severe allergy), lactose intolerance or nut allergy.
Amazingly, after years of study, it was found that a specific parasite, Human Hookworm, was the cause of the population’s incredible immune system. As it was discovered, the Human Hookworm has evolved in total synchronicity to have an immunological symbiosis with humans.
In people who don't have allergies, foreign material entering the body prompts the release of cytokines, molecules that sound the alarm to get the attention of other immune cells. As immune cells rally to attack the intruder, a second set of molecules (primarly interleukin-10) is released to prevent the immune response from overreacting.
Those with allergies however, are not able to selfregulate the cytokines and the allergic reaction ensues. The research has found (but is as yet unsure how) that interleukin-10 is released and the reaction does not occur. One possible explaination for the response is self preservation, essentially, if the body worms responsible for chronic infections would be unlikely to survive without evolving mechanisms that allow them to strike up an immunological balance with their host.

This is the first time ever I hear some one hating perfumes
I know some perfumes won't smell nice, but hardly disgusting
and I also know some can be too much, or too concentrated
but generally, i do like too much perfume, its pleasant

Bashing perfume and cologne as a whole is kind of dumb. There are a lot of really nice ones and a ton of really horrible ones.
The thing is most people either wear cheap perfume/cologne, or they wear too much of it. Or both, which is way worse.
