30 most memorable SEGA arcade games of all time

Post by SpaceBooger »

Here is an interesting article: 30 most memorable SEGA arcade games of all time

I am still surprised that SEGA's Star Wars Trilogy game was never ported to a home console. I think the game would work well on the Wii!

Most memorable according to this guy, anyway. Lots of more-deserving omissions.

Booooooo. I hate pages that require cookies to view them. Unless you have a commerce site holding an order, a forum, or something similar, there's no good reason to require cookies just to read something. Guess I'll be passing and living vicariously though other people's posts about the story.

Not real big on racing games, and I think Spider-Man and Cap and the Avengers are among the most mediocre beat'em ups out there. Frankly, I completely disagree with him on that arcade Spider-Man game being considered one of the best spidey games. Spidey was done right on consoles and in the arcade only by Capcom in their fighters

However, House of the Dead, Virtua Fighter, After Burner, Golden Axe, Moon Walker, Crazy Taxi, Space Harrier, Shinobi and two or three others are good picks in my opinion

At least Space Harrier was there. The reviewer didn't even mention the quick reaction motion chair.

I always enjoy checking out these sort of lists, but it really irks me when websites require you to accept cookies in order to provide a "seamless user experience" (i.e. uninterrupted tracking of you).

Ok, not to sound stupid or anything how do you guys know there is a cookie on that site. It loaded right up for me with no warning in Google Chrome.

Haven't used Chrome, so I'm not too familiar with its cookie settings, but I run Firefox with a white list for cookies (i.e. I only accept cookies automatically for sites listed on the white list). This site with the Sega arcade list wouldn't load at all at first, instead displaying an "error" that accepting its cookie was necessary for seeing the real site.
