Does anybody play Warhawk anymore?

Post by hardrrocker »

Um I'm getting a Ps3 soon and wondering if people play Warhawk anymore. If not many people do I'm going to get LBP.
I put rocket fuel in my vaccuum and it started a fire in my house. I am so mad at Black & Decker for making a vaccuum that I can't do what I want with.

I have it, but I haven't played, mostly because I have nobody to play it with and these sorts of games aren't fun on your own.

Ryan was talking about wanting to get a warhawk clan together. There is a thread about in here somewhere...

Edit: Here it is http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopi ... an#p232899

Well you have yourself quite a dilemma now dont you?

Ive since had to give my PS3 to my ex girlfriend so I havent been in the PS3 onlinescene but Warhawk is an amazing game. It reminds me strangely of tribes which I was HUGELY into on the PS2. Yes the PS2. Im talking about Tribes Aerial Assault which is definetely my favorite game of all time. It was so addicting. Anyways back to warhawk. Another game I used to play religiously and an excellent successor to the original game. Its only flaw is there is no campaign mode.

Also if youve never played prepare for a lot of deaths. This game is not noob friendly. I suggest you start running around with a tank at first. Its easy and plugging ships in the air is soooo satisfying :) Definetely if anything go rent it to check the servers. Or go on the official warhawk forum on the playstation site.

LBP is an awesome game with one drawback. If your creative it will suck you in and destroy your social life You'll find yourself stuck at home ignoring phone calls and calling out of work to put your contraptions and devices and mechanisms and switches together. If you dont believe me search for my level Thrashed by Plasma. I stopped playing when I put over 100 hours into this level and I didnt get hardly any hits. On top of that sometimes I get a "failed to load level" error when I try to play. Any recent updates may have fixed this though. Also, something that will help you keep your sanity when constructing is the jukebox mode which lets you listen to your own music library on your PS3.

I say go with Warhawk :)

Plenty of people still play it (I for one still do) but it's mostly the people that have played it since it came out, so as a new-comer, you will die even more than you would have back when it came out (which was still insane). It's extremely difficult to keep up now. There are some servers where some newer players tend to do their thing but sometimes they are plagued with ass-holes that dropship your tank into the water.

I'd go with Warhawk, but that's mostly because all my creative output is in the form of music, but everything else sucks.

I have it as well. One of the first titles I bought for my ps3 becuase I was hoping to play it with my friends, but none of them ever purchased the damn thing. And it's not very newcomer friendly at all as has been mentioned. Just playing 4 player split screen was a hell of a lot of fun.
