Hey everyone,
Just finished Grandia II on the Dreamcast. Already finished Shenmue, Shenmue II and Skies of Arcadia.
It seems I've run out of good RPGs to play on the Dreamcast...was thinking of taking on Blue Stinger, though I'd like to avoid the Survival Horror genre.
Any suggestions??
Thank you

If you want to avoid survival horror, you should definitely not go for Blue Stinger.
Have you considered going in a completely different direction? The Record of Lodoss War is a well done action RPG based on the popular manga and anime. I played it last December and had lots of fun with it. Give it a shot.

I'd recommend "Evolution: World of Sacred Device."
It's got an extremely innovative currency system (no money from random battles, you have to find and sell items), randomly generated dungeons, and a look and feel similar to Skies of Arcadia.

E.G.G: elemental gimmick gear is a unique game that has a zelda feel. i would also agree with evolution, that has an enjoyable cast of characters. and of course if your more on the tolerable side, you might want to play timestalkers. while most people dislike/hate it, i have found some enjoyment out of it just not much.

+1 for The Record of Lodoss War and E.G.G.
Both are worth some time.

If you don't mind branching out on a more Zelda: OoT-feel of things, give Evil Twin a try.. I believe it was a European-only release, (possibly cancelled, even.) It kind of reminded me of a game made by Tim Burton for the Dreamcast, minus the obligatory Johnny Depp..

Time Stalkers, the greatest rpg ever released on a Sega console.

I agree with this recommendation. It's a very pretty game to boot. Outside of boss battles, all the artwork is hand drawn, so all the environments and dungeon areas are unique and void of repeated textures. I enjoyed it quite a bit.weasels wrote:E.G.G: elemental gimmick gear is a unique game that has a zelda feel.
