Ntsc dreamcast in pal region.

Hi do I need a power converter to play ntsc dreamcast in pal region input?

Yup, I do believe so. If your outlets aren't 110v, then you'll need a converter. You'll need something like this...



or



Just make sure the adapter you get actually changes the voltage, and isn't just an adapter for the different shaped plugs (I use to have one like this for a Japanese console that I used here in the USA). Would look something like this...



^ This adapter will NOT change the voltage for you.

Just search for "voltage adapter" in your local websites.

I think you might need a matching NTSC screen unless you go with a VGA monitor.

Well the NTSC Dreamcast will output 60Hz, but I figured you already knew this.

The frequence (50 or 60hz) and the region video output (PAL, NTSC, SECAM etc.) are two different things. Make sure your TV accept NTSC input.
